Tower Insurance Tower of Refuge Walk
The Tower Insurance - Tower of Refuge Walk took place as planned on Friday 1st September. In the region of 2,000 people were in attendance and made their way out to Conister Rock.

Prior to the walk taking place Douglas City Council arranged a sandcastle competition on the beach for the best sandcastle that looked the most like the Tower of Refuge.

Nick and Isobel Cussons also brought along their fairground organ which was a very welcomed addition to the event.

During the evening, RNLI raised the fantastic figure of £2,000.

Oliver Cheshire City Centre manager for Douglas City Council  said "On behalf of the City of Douglas and the residents, we are extremely grateful to Richard and all of the team at Tower Insurance for their continued support". "We are also very grateful to Kevin, Andy and all of the team at the Coastguards, who we will be meeting with in January to plan a date for the 2024 event."

2024 is a landmark year, with it being the 200 year anniversary of RNLI - watch this space for details of the 2024 date.
